my 500GB Maxtor HardDrive crashed on me.
it didn't exactly CRASH. It just wouldn't boot at all! Bios unable to detect me frigging SATA2 HDD. Even though my eSATA hdd is working perfectly fine. Oh damn.

So without much of a choice

i dropped back to my emergency hdd.
My trusty 80GB hitachi HDD equipped with Windows XP Pro SP3

So i guess.
i'll either find that stupid warranty card for my maxtor or i just have to get another one. My xp is lagging like crazy i don't know why. It's not that it's slow. It just, starts slow for some reason. Oh damn it. I think i do too many stupid things to my computer already. Now it's really screwed.

It's sort of a romance/comedy kinda thing. Well, about kids. The only difference is that this time it involves a teacher who is sort of constantly getting seduced by his little student.
it's kinda funny at time but then it kinda sets me thinking about some stuffs

you know, when you grow up, whether you like it or not your thinking will change right? Then you'll start to understand things that you used to not understand. But then as a price you'll also lose the ability to understand the things around you as you did when you were younger.

I'm trying quite hard to keep track of my thinking. I want to know what i was thinking back then. When i'm 16. When i'm older i want to know how it's like. I think that's when a blog is a really useful. I can easily track my train of thoughts like this. Who knows, maybe 10years down the road i chose a job that has nothing to with what i'm interested now. Maybe the way i look at the world will change drastically. I mean, it's interesting isn't it. I don't want to lose the ability to connect with people of different ages.
Well let's take for example when we're all grown up and have kids. Won't most people find it very hard why kids are behaving like that? I mean, even now we'll get irritated by kids cause we can't see what they see. I think it's really very amusing if we're still able to remember how we think in the past, and then make use of that to communicate with other people.

That aside, i think it's really really hard for guys n girls to understand each other. For one thing, the things that excite us are too. different.

i think about it now. When girls see new clothes or stuffs that they want (which usually don't make sense to us guys) They get all excited over it and want to get it. But, for guys. (okay i'm not really sure cause i'm a geek, for at least for me...) When i see a new game come out. I see the amazing new graphics and the capabilities that it can bring.I get excited. Like REALLY excited. I wonder if that's how girls feel when they see things that they want. However i would suspect that girls would just go "oh that's cool" at a cool game rather than, OMG THIS IS DAMN COOL.
yeah i guess it's something like that.

Currently, because of the people around me. I'm trying to understand how fun shopping is. Currently i still haven't found out any cool thing about shopping. I mean, you go there, you find what you want, you buy, then you leave. Isn't it a very straight forward thing? Ain't it a very boring and mundane thing to do? I don't see how exciting it can be.

Maybe it's the clothes itself. But what's so exciting about them. It's just cloth fashioned together to form a shape that we would deem as nice to wear. It is trendy or whatever but i don't really see a direct practical sense to it other than that it's a garment.

At least for me when i see new hardware. Like let's say, the latest Corei7 intel processor with dynamic throttling, level 3 cache, triple channel DD3 RAM. I get excited. When i see the latest Nvidia, ATI graphic cards. GTX series with 1.4billion transistors and up to 150+gigapixels fill rate. It boost your computer's performance drastically, it brings your electronics to a new level of evolution if i may say that. But i guess that when girls (or ppl who don't understand this) reads it, it's just a very "ohic" thing for them.

it's been sometime since i've updated the media in my computer, so 2days ago i decided to start updating my media. Which includes my music and anime. Or videos or whatever.
Roughly 12GB in the past 2 days. Well, mostly anime i guess. But then it's quite amazing how i'm able to use up space so quickly. But then again, it really feels good to know that it's sometime before you use up the space. Hehh.

those people with lycosa that has problems, like keep flickering or something or whatever. It's the touchscreen chip that cause the problem. I removed that chip. So there's kinda a blank on my keyboard. then i just cover it up with tape lorh. Haha. The keyboard will still have the macro capabilities, so everything is fine i guess. Just don't have the media keys and the on-the-fly lighting change
But then after using the illuminated keyboard. It really feels much better to type with rather than the lycosa. Feels much more classy as well. Haha.

For the moment i guess that when i gaming then i use the lycosa, normal use then use illuminated. (ah what an extravagant way of using computer) but then again the money has been spent. Kinda regret but nth i can do about it.

so a little update about what i'm doing.

anyways
today went out to celebrate km's birthday, though more like just go watch movie lah. But oh wells, as long as we all don't feel bored i guess that it's fine.

well, it ain't that bad of a movie. But it kinda felt a little like the number 23
the sound effects are awesome. Quite a few parts of the show, the graphics are awesome too. Man, after hearing those surround sound system, i really want to have something like that in my room too. I mean, it's damn amazing.

i guess this is good friday after all.

helped people host dota game yesterday. Cause i won't lag. So yeah.
So following that train of thought. I used VMware to create a virtual XP and then i installed WC3 and garena on it. Well, graphics are emulated up to DirectX9.0C using WMware SVGA2.0. even though it's directX9.0C u can't expect much from it. It's not a "real" hardware afterall.
anyways though it feels kinda laggy inside the game, i tried hosting on guest machine and connected to it with my host machine. And voilà! It worked and it doesn't lag.

Then i thought.
hey!
i can enter as two players, host and play at the same time.
While being excited at that thought, i suddenly realised that hey. It doesn't make much of a difference if you want to host and play at the same time by just doing it normally rather than wasting so much time.
BUT HERE'S THE THING.
If i can get another monitor, i can display the guest machine on the other monitor. and voilà! it works as a map hack. -.- (okay i'm lame but then i mean, this kinda things are just done for fun mah. I'm still young and don't really have a practical use for all these things. I'm contented yet dissatisfied with the hardware i have. Oh wells. The greed of humans)

i think it has something to do with growing up and being able to experience more things.
you know, in movies, when sometimes somethings happen and the human in the show just did somethings that you couldn't understand why he did such things? Those ain't just acting and drama. I found out that actually quite a lot of them are real, like. that will REALLY be how a normal person would react in such a situation.

many times we seen the scene of the car running straight into a man even though that person has enough time to evade that oncoming obstacle. or, during some war movies someone point a gun at the guy's head and he just freezes there like some shit.

to me, those ain't just drama. I mean. well i don't have that kinda experiences (or i'll be dead by now) but like, can relate to other stuffs, like to my recent sprain
You know, when you get injured at some part. And you sit down for awhile and you won't feel that pain anymore because you never move that part? And when you try to move it again you find a little difficulty at the start? I'm referring to that kinda feeling. It's not physical, i think it's psychological. I think it's that fear of pain that cause us to hesitate from moving. That little fear that just prevents your mind from moving your body (my leg in this case)
so i found out that it's actually perfectly reasonable that people actually freeze in their movement. Not that they don't want to, but their body just ain't able to move. Which makes me think of those anime, the "killing intent" kinda thing. Though kinda exaggerated but well, partly true i guess.

but you know
i find it damn weird.
when you cross refer anime and real life situation

nowadays when i think of bleach. I think it's kinda funny. You know those kinda anime where people fight with swords and people get slashed and blood just splurt out everywhere like some river? In reality, one slash like that, can just split open your skin, burst your blood vessels and send you to river styx!

HOWEVER,
this is more than just a game!
i love the god damn graphics.

is it nice? Yes i know it's nice. And i know that the graphics kicks ass.
but here's my view upon it

Pros:
>Not very heavy hardware requirement
--my 8600GT can run all at max settings
>Amazing graphics
--great detail on plane, lighting, particle effects
>Console like flight simulator gameplay.
>User-friendly interface

Cons:
>Dogfight is quite hard to keep track due to amount of enemies
>Physics is very console like. Nothing like a normal flight simulator.
--doube edge sword. It is much easier for new players to play, but it lacks a certain amount of realism to it
>Though many plane models, flight path is generally the same, no distinctive difference.
>Speed cannot go below 1000km/h in automode


so yeah
if you can just try it. It's not really the kinda game that you will play in the long run. But it certainly is exciting and wasted lots of my time. So i'll recommend it to people who don't mind wasting time on some game that has graphics that is just so damn amazing for hardware requirement

As for me
it's 9.5/10
lots of entertainment value man. Seriously.


Now moving on to the next game
that i feared to try due to the complexity of the game...

well basically they just added an alien race and some new units/tweaks i guess.



Pros:
>It's what an RTS game should be like
--ETA displays, best route to destination, good path-finding, coordinated attacks
>Decent graphics for something created in 2006~2007
--Pixel Shader 2.0, etc.
>makes you think. like crazy
>Immensive gameplay

Cons:
>Quite high requirement for CPU
--At least a decent core2duo for smooth game
>Quite a steep learning curve
>Micro and macro at the same time is very taxing
--at least it is on me.
>Units though many but are fairly similar.


As for this game
i don't really highly recommend this. Unless you're really DAMN bored. Or you just love RTS games like this. then yeah go ahead. IF not you'll probably end up with a headache the first time you try to play it seriously and concentrate so hard on it you realized that your brain is getting screwed.

so i'll probably give it an 8.0/10


i shall end my game jabber right here. So hey. I might have lost quite a bit of interest in games. But i'm sure that the feeling is just dormant and not extinct. (though i think it really should just go to hell since O's are coming)
